Diffraction's photographic sculptures host a small series of self-portraits that compose and decompose as she moves around. The artist refuses to deliver a complete image of herself, choosing instead to offer scattered elements that the viewer can compose as he wishes and put in direct link with his own body. The alternation between layers or "folds" of transparency, opacity and reflection underlines the space and completes the already existing interaction between the work and the viewer.
It is in this process of permanent erasure and reconfiguration of the image that the device brings to light what seems essential to the artist, such as the fragility and the ephemeral and multiple nature of our being.
